These terms cover the location services provided by 클로스핏 in Roll.
If you choose location features, the app checks your location when starting a memory to suggest a place name. When taking photos or videos in the app, a recent location is converted on the device into an administrative area name and representative coordinates to arrange media by place within the memory. You can also explicitly add a place later in memory settings, using a one-time location check. If you move more than 5 km from the starting point while capturing, the representative place may update once per memory. Later additions and movement updates together are limited to one per memory. If you separately consent to photo location storage, approximate positions at about 100 m resolution are stored for each photo or video taken with the app camera, so zooming the map can show them by capture position. Movement routes are not recorded. Tapping My location on the map checks your position to move the map and show it. Location features are free; carrier data charges may apply.
Raw GPS is discarded immediately after conversion into an administrative area name and representative place coordinates. Roll stores one representative coordinate pair shared by photos from the same memory and administrative area. Only for app-camera media from users who separately consent, it also stores each photo’s position reduced to three decimal places (about 100 m). These positions are retained until the photo is deleted, photo location storage is turned off, or the account is deleted. Place names, representative coordinates and photo positions are shown only to people authorized to view the memory. Apple Maps or Google Maps Platform may process representative coordinates, approximate photo positions and the visible map area. If you tap My location, platform location and map services may temporarily process your position to move the map. Roll does not receive or store it, use it to update memory places, or generate movement routes. Raw GPS is not sent to maps.
You can create a memory without location access, using a date as its title, and choose Add place later in memory settings. Photos are still grouped by administrative area if you decline photo location storage. You can turn it off in app Settings at any time; doing so immediately deletes the approximate photo positions of that user’s uploads. Disable location access in device Settings. Contact support to withdraw consent, access usage records or correct errors. Withdrawing all location consent or deleting your account deletes personal location information and confirmation records linked to the account. Place names and representative coordinates of shared memories retained for other contributors may remain as memory data after removing their link to the deleted account.
Location-use confirmation records contain the user, time and purpose, without coordinates. During service use, records are retained for six months and then destroyed under Article 16 of the Korean Location Information Act and its location-information protection standards. They are destroyed without delay on withdrawal of all location consent or account deletion under Article 24 of that Act.
People under 18 cannot join this service.
